STW81V current relay (8-channel current monitor)
The ZIEHL STW81V individually monitors up to eight machines and automatically controls a central extraction system and the associated dampers. When a connected current transformer detects machine operation, the relay switches the relevant damper and central extraction on or off as required.
Eight inputs and nine relay outputs—eight individual relays plus one central relay—enable direct channel-specific switching. The switching threshold is adjustable from approximately 0.5 to 5 A and the delay up to 60 seconds. The unit is DIN-rail mounted and supplied with 24–240 V AC/DC.
The STW81V is suitable where up to eight machines and their dampers need to be switched through separate relays. Compared with the STW1K, it provides individual channel evaluation; the STW84V additionally offers an analogue output and functions for cleaning, discharge and volume-flow monitoring. One current transformer such as the STWA1 is required per machine.
