Drosselklappen: Funktion und Vorteile
Eine Drosselklappe ist ein unverzichtbares Regelorgan in industriellen Rohrleitungssystemen – hierzu zählen unter anderem auch Rohrbögen und Rohrkupplung. Die mechanisch betriebene Drosselklappe besteht dabei aus einer beweglichen Scheibe oder Klappe, die sich in einem Gehäuse um eine Achse dreht. Im Gegensatz zu Drosselklappen im Ansaugtrakt eines Verbrennungsmotors dient diese industrielle Variante dazu, Medienströme in Prozessanlagen präzise zu steuern.
Die Hauptfunktionen einer Drosselklappe sind:
- Die stufenlose Regulierung von Durchflussmengen in Rohrleitungen
- Die kontrollierte Absperrung von Mediendurchflüssen
- Die Steuerung von Prozessabläufen durch gezielte Drosselung
- Die Druckregulierung in Rohrleitungssystemen
Auch in Absaugsystemen spielt eine Drosselklappe eine wichtige Rolle. Hier regelt sie die Saugleistung und die Luftzufuhr je nach vorhandenem Bedarf. So erhöht sie zum Beispiel die Saugkraft automatisch, wenn an mehreren Arbeitsplätzen mit Schweißrauch-Absaugung ein zusätzlicher Absaugarm in Betrieb geht. Zugleich reduziert sie den Luftstrom, wenn nicht alle Absaugstellen aktiv sind. Liegt jedoch ein Defekt an der Drosselklappe vor, kann dies zu unkontrollierten Luftströmen und damit zu erheblichen Energieverlusten oder unzureichender Absaugleistung führen. Daher ist eine regelmäßige Wartung für die maximale Energieeffizienz erforderlich.
