STWA1 current transformer (for current detection)
The ZIEHL STWA1 detects alternating current in a machine supply line and reports the operating state to a compatible ZIEHL STW-series current relay. It supplies the detection signal that can be used, for example, to switch an extraction system on automatically.
The live conductor is passed through the approximately 11 mm opening. The inductive current transformer requires no separate supply voltage and connects through its fixed cable of approximately 1 m. It measures up to 100 A and permits 300 A briefly. Current can be detected from approximately 2 A.
Key distinction: the STWA1 is the sensor for one monitored line, not a stand-alone extraction controller. One current transformer is required for each machine or line; evaluation and switching are performed by a corresponding relay such as the STW1K, STW81V or STW84V.
